I graduated with a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York, NY and went on to earn a MFA at Brooklyn College.
My goal as an artist is to capture the viewers’ attention, to draw them into my work and trigger emotional responses. My subject matter varies – still lifes, portraits and urbanscapes. My preferred medium is oils and I often paint from my own photos, reproducing the inherent precision of line, but giving my own interpretation of the image. I use color, perspective and lighting to create powerful, balanced photo-like representations. My biggest influences are Pop Art and Photorealism.
I currently am taking part in a group exhibition at Art Essex Gallery, Westport CT. Previously, I also participated in Art on the Corner, New York, NY.
